1. Italianni’s with mother’s side and Jamba Juice after.
2. Trip to Fully Booked after. Finally have David Foster Wallace’s “Brief Interviews with Hideous Men” and Jorge Luis Borges’ “Labyrinths”!
3. Simple dinner with father’s side. Tuyo and sinangag, among other handa. Ate using only hands. I love getting to experience the best of both worlds with both sides of the family.
4. Karaoke. ‘Nuff said.
5. Papa finally broke down and gave me his Converse shoes that I have been eyeing for months now. Yes!
And that’s how to start the new year. Back to real life this morning with academic obligations. But I’ve got the momentum now. Here’s to 2012!
